“WILL YOU MARRY ME” MAKES STRONG DEBUT

“Will You Marry Me” debuted on this week’s Music Row Singles Chart at number 74, a week before it even goes for adds! The impact date for non-reporting stations is January 29th, with March 8th for reporting stations. “Will You Marry Me” is the first single off of John’s classic love song CD, I Give My Heart.

The single is already receiving high praise. Robert K. Oermann says John’s “still got the goods. There's something special about saying something in a song for people who might not be able to express themselves in such a nakedly emotional way.” Couples are even using the song in their proposals! Bill Lewis at WYTZ in Benton Harbor, MI, predicts “Will You Marry Me will make those single guys want to run out and get the ring for their lady and married couples wanting to renew their vows.”

John Berry has one of the most powerful voices in country music. It’s a stunningly rich, majestic tenor that he uses to its full effect. He has been recognized by the Grammys, the Country Music Association (CMA), and the Academy of Country Music (ACM), with several awards and nominations. He had his first number 1 single in 1994 with “Your Love Amazes Me,” and followed up with two more #1s: “She’s Taken a Shine” and “Standing on the Edge of Goodbye.”

This spring, John plans to hit the road for what promises to be an amazing tour, appropriately named the Love Tour. His previous album, Songs and Stories, was released in May 2002 and has independently sold over 10,000 copies solely at live shows, online, and through his fan club. He also re-released his live Christmas CD, O Holy Night Live, for the 2003 holiday season.
